Mrs. Frances B. Surber
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Frances B. Surber, 80, went home to be with the Lord, at 7:25 a.m., Friday, June 27, 2008, at Duke University Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late David Spencer Surber and daughter of the late Edgar W. Boswell and Alene Frances Whitesell Boswell. She was a retired telephone operator for Southern Bell Telephone & Telegraph and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon.
Mrs. Surber is survived by an aunt, Faye Phillips of Burlington and also by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 29 at Alamance Memorial Park with the Rev. Terry Huffines and the Rev. Kristin Lassiter officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Habitat Project at First United Methodist Church of Elon, 1630 Westbrook Ave., Elon, N.C. 27244.
