McLEANSVILLE, N.C. — Harry Hubert Walker, 80, of 5314 Eastcrest Road, McLeansville, N.C. went to be with the LordTuesday, October 12, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military rites will be in Greenview Cemetery.
A native of Caswell County, N.C. he was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Sue Crowder Walker and had lived in McLeansville for the past 12 years. He was a retired postal trucking contractor and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife June Taggart Walker; son, William Lewis Walker; brothers, Raymond Walker, Eugene Walker, Norman Walker; sisters, Hazel W. Holler, Nell W. Williams, and Odessa W. LaRue.
Survivors include a son, Hugh l. Walker and wife Sheila of Burlington; grandchildren, Tabitha Dawn Walker of Burlington, Benjamin Adam Walker and wife Jessica of McLeansville; great-granddaughter, riley GraceWalker of McLeansville; sisters, Alma Sue Burke, Dorothy “Dot” Walker, Camilla W.Wright and Joan Marie Daniel, all of Danville,Va. and Betty Olean Carroll of Pelham, N.C.
The family will see friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 at Citty Funeral Home in Reidsville, N.C. and at other times will be at the residence.
