Mr. William Frank "Bill" McAdoo, Jr., 78, of 4702 North Church St., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Buffalo Presbyterian Church, of which he was a life long member. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. McAdoo was a life long resident of Greensboro, a former member of the Lion's Club, a deacon and a Boy Scout leader in his church and a volunteer fireman. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Pacific, during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Phillips McAdoo of the home; son, William Frank McAdoo, III of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Gala McAdoo Goldfarb and husband, Steve of Virginia Beach, Va.; granddaughter, Julie Suzanne Goldfarb; sisters, Betty Albright, Nancy Yow and Gwen Jones, all of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service, at the church.
