Frances Cobb Edwards, age 70, of Fort Walton Beach, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 4, 1998, at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Mrs. Edwards was a retired auditing supervisor with the Sears, Roebuck, and Co. in Fort Walton Beach with 18 years of service. Frances was born in Gibsonville, N.C., and had resided in this area for the past 33 years. She was an active and faithful member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Walton Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Kit C. Edwards, of Fort Walton Beach; her three daughters, Paneen Edwards Froneberger and her husband, Al, of Lake Wylie, S.C., Kathey Edwards Chambers and her husband, Truett, of Enterprise, Ala., and Kitty Edwards Odom and her husband, Dexter, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; her brothers, V. W. Cobb Jr., of Gibsonville, N.C., and John Albert Cobb and his wife, Bobbie, of Jamestown, N.C.; her sister, Vera Cobb Ingle and her husband, Carson, of Whitsett, N.C.; her six grandchildren, Marcy Froneberger Little and her husband, Bobby, John Alex Froneberger, Lee Chambers, Marilee Chambers, Davis Odom and Kelsey Odom; and her great-granddaughter, Kaity Froneberger; and her beloved dog, Cricket.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at the McLaughlin Mortuary in Fort Walton Beach.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Walton Beach with the Rev. Steve Marko officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery of Fort Walton Beach.
