From the Greensboro Daily News of Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1918 and contributor Brad:
"Mrs. Nancy C. James died yesterday at 12:30 at her home on Church Street extension, Mrs. James, who was 93 years of age, is survived by daughter, Miss Jennie James, and son, T. B. James. The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock this afternoon from Lee's Chapel. Services will be conducted by Rev. M. Sherrill, interment following in the church burying ground."
Daughter of Abel and Margaret Elizabeth Tendall Summers. Wife of Hennis J. James.

There were also more children besides Thomas B James:
William Noah James (married Margaret Wagoner), Peter James, Augusta Virginia James (Jennie) were also children. William Noah is in the same cemetary as is his son Walter Alvin James (married Mae Alice Snider).
