PLAINFIELD, IL — Johnny Ray Bergman, 40, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel with Pastor W. Ray Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Baptist Church on Fairfax Road.
Johnny was born on December 9, 1970, the son of David Lee Bergman, Sr. and Patricia Stamey Isaac. He graduated from Southern Guilford High School where he earned All-State Football recognition in 1989. He served his country in the US Navy. He loved his children, family and friends. He had moved to Plainfield, IL several years ago and was employed as a mechanic.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his loving wife Julie; sons, Luke, Braxton, and John Thomas, all at home; mother, Patricia Isaac of Pleasant Garden; brother, David Lee Bergman Jr. and wife Cheryl of Greensboro; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bergman of Oak Ridge, and nieces, Ashley and Lynley Bergman.
Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Attention, Charitable Donations, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 12 noon until service time at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
