Kerney Kepley

Kerney Bernard Kepley, 99, of Centerclair Nursing Home and formerly of Turner Road, died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006, at Centerclair Nursing Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holly Grove Lutheran Church by the Rev. John Mocko. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Kepley was born May 16, 1907, to Robert Leonard Kepley and Julia Younts Kepley. He was retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries and was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Michael Kepley; three brothers, Clifford Kepley, Ottis Kepley and Hugh Kepley; and two sisters, Vaden Younts Easley and Olive Virginia Younts. Surviving are two sons, Donald L. Kepley and his wife, Kay, and Kerney E. "Gene" Kepley and his wife, Barbara, both of Lexington; a daughter, Peggy Kepley Everhart and her husband, Dwight, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Patrice Kepley Thompson, Greg Kepley, Kent Everhart, Tim Everhart, Rex Everhart, Gina Kepley Garrett and Michael Kepley; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington from 6 to 8 tonight and other times at the home of the son, Donald Kepley, 272 Hollyberry Lane. Memorials may be made to Holly Grove Lutheran Church Building Fund or choir. Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
