Mary Katherine Busby, 75, went home to be with the Lord, also to join her husband and son, on January 5, 2019.
Graveside Services to celebrate her life were held at 11:00AM on Friday January 11, 2019 at Lakeview Memorial Park.
A lifelong resident of Guilford County, Mary was the daughter of the late Frances Summers and Richard Layton Freeman. She graduated from Greensboro Page High School and would later retire from VF Corporation after 38 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Furman Lee Busby, and her son Roger Lee Busby.
Survivors included her daughter Karen B. Coggin and Randy of Colfax; granddaughters Tiffany Busby of Greensboro, Kayla Busby Fung-Fook and Phillip of Virginia, and Allison Overby and Steven of High Point; great-grandsons Anthony Fung-Fook, James Fung-Fook, Noe Baez, Samuel Baez, and Grayson Overby; sister Nancy Richardson of Chesapeake, Virginia; nephews Timothy Richardson, Randy Richardson, Ricky Richardson, and David Richardson; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
The family received friends from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday evening at the Lambeth-Troxler Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.
