Fred Maurice Troutman
GIBSONVILLE — Fred MauriceTroutman, 90, of 309 Owen Street, Gibsonville, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Fred was born March 11, 1920 in Alamance County to the late John Wesley Troutman Sr. and Ida Summers Troutman. Mr. Troutman was married to the late Joyce D. Troutman who preceded him in 2006. Fred was of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his children, Roger Troutman and his wife Diane, Shirley Jones and her husband Mike, and Mike Troutman, all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Mandy Gilmore, Kenny Jones, Michael Shane Troutman, Chad Hicks, Zach Troutman, Todd Troutman, Stevie Parker, and Sharon Parker; two great- grandchildren, Caleb Gilmore and Kennedy Anne Gilmore; and a brother, Jack Troutman of Burlington.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Gail Hicks; a son, Steven Wayne Troutman; two sisters, Marie Grissom and Louise Barringer; and two brothers, Hal “Buddy” Troutman and John Troutman.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Larry Apple. Interment will follow at the Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home.
