Mrs. Belva Jean Shepherd Nance
GREENSBORO — Mrs. Belva Jean Shepherd Nance, 68, of McLeansville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at her residence surrounded by family.
Mrs. Nance was a member of McLeansvile Baptist Church. She was dedicated to her family, as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She took great enjoyment in cooking for her family and working with her beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Clarence and Bessie Alcon Shepherd.
Mrs. Nance is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Howard Nance of the home; three sons, Eddie Nance (Julie), Randy Nance (Joan), Tracy Nance (Tammy), all of McLeansville; four grandchildren, Samantha, Brandon, Cara and Elijah Nance; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Faye Dixon (Charles) of Randleman; brother, Fred Shepherd (Carolyn) of Greensboro; and special cousin, Edith Elliot of Gibsonville.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2008, at McLeansville Baptist Church, with funeral services and interment immediately following at 3 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Jack Lemon and the Rev. Nila Souther officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLeansville Baptist Church Building Fund, 5205 Frieden Church Road, McLeansville, N.C. 27301 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
