Thomas Ervin Apple
ELON — Thomas Ervin Apple, 77, of 1477 Stadler Road, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at his residence.
A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of the late Betty Jean Soyars Apple and son of the late William Robert and Viola Page Apple. He was employed by Burlington Industries and MacField and later retired from Culp Finishing. Mr. Apple was a farmer and attended Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie A. Smith and husband Jesse of Mebane; grandchildren, Jonathan Smith and wife Mary of Goldsboro and Patrick Smith of Mebane; and his beloved great-granddaughter, Ella Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brothers, Robert Junior Apple and Loftin B. Apple.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church by Elder David Underwood
and Pastor Jonathan Smith. Interment will follow in Bush Arbor Cemetery. Mr. Apple will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday and at his home at other times.
