James F. (Jim) Rogers Jr.
BURLINGTON — James F. (Jim) Rogers Jr. of Burlington passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 from complications from Parkinson’s disease. Jim was the son of the late James F. Rogers Sr. and Alma Bradner Rogers and husband of the late Amy Anthony Rogers.
A lifelong resident of Burlington, Jim never met a stranger, and was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a member of Westside Fellowship. He attended Williams High School. Over the years, Jim worked for Alamance Fence, Alamance County Hospital and Tower Mills and most recently at Orange Enterprises, formerly known as Vocational Trades.
He is survived by his sister, Iona "Jan" Harrington, a brother, Kirk Rogers, his wife Amy, and their children Ashley, Lindsay, and Chandler.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Westside Fellowship by the Rev. Mike Mitchener and the family will receive friends from 3 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held at Alamance Memorial Park.
Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
