Pvt., Co. C, 14 Mo Cav., March 17, 1862- Feb. 4, 1863
Pvt., Co. L, 4 Mo. Cav., Feb., 4, 1863-Nov 12, 1864
Pvt., Co. A, 4 Mo. Cav., Nov. 12, 1864- March 16-17, 1865.

He contacted measles early in the war and when the war was over he had contacted smallpox.

His wife Martha and her father John Wallace died from smallpox.

Martha died May 28, 1865.
She is buried in Mount Vernon, Lawrence Co., Mo.

They had 1 daughter, Nancy Jane Moore born October 18, 1862 and died at a young age.

Andrew helped take wagon trains out west and worked on the railroad.

When he returned home he married Sarah Jane Garinger on Dec. 31, 1868.

They had four children.
Andrew applied for pension on July 18, 1921 which he eventually received.
