Joan “Denise” Williams Somers, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital.
A private family graveside service will be held.
Denise was born in Rockingham County to George Elbert Williams and Mary Ila Warren Williams.
She loved the Lord, her children and her grandchildren. It was important to her to teach her children and grandchildren to always put the Lord first in their lives. She had a special gift for singing and the voice of an angel. She was saved under the preaching of Pastor Floyd Repass.
Along with her father and mother she was preceded in death by her brother Tim Williams and nephew Jordan Fain.
Denise is survived by her husband William “Keith” Somers; mother- in -law Alma Somers; children Brian Somers and wife Jennifer and Michael Somers and Kristin; grandchildren Bray Somers, Sami Ree Somers, Jett Somers and Presley Somers; sister Peggy Shreve and husband Danny: sister-in -law Alyene Williams; and nieces Alissa Fain and Nikki Williams. 566, Joan Denise Somers
