Betty Fogleman Harrison
    BURLINGTON — Betty Fogleman Harrison, 80, of 2926 Long Pine Road, Burlington passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Liberty Commons.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Charles Farrell Presnell and Edmond G. Harrison, and the daughter of the late Charlie Webb Fogleman and the late Sallie Holt Fogleman. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon and a retired employee of AT&T with 28 years of service.
    In addition to her husband of the home, she is survived by one daughter, Janet Presnell Black and her husband Bobby Black Sr. of Jacksonville, N.C.; two sons, Charles Farrell Presnell Jr. and his wife Kelli of Olympia, Wash., and Michael Von Presnell of Apex, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Cammie Brown and Deana Lewis; six grandchildren, Cara Jane Thomas, Bobby Black Jr., Rileigh Presnell, Haleigh Presnell, Michael Presnell II, and Grayson Presnell; and one great-great-grandchild, Madison Jane Thomas; two brothers, Vern Fogleman and Carl “Bucky” Fogleman and his wife Jenny; and a brotherin-law, Don King.
    In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
    The funeral service will be conducted
at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 9, 2009, at the First United Methodist
Church of Elon by the Rev. Terry Huffines and Mrs. Harrison’s niece, the Rev. Jill King. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church of Elon on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
    Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or to the First United Methodist Church, 1630 Westbrook Avenue, Elon, N.C. 27244.
    The family would like to acknowledge the staffs of Liberty Commons and Hospice for the loving care given to Betty.
