Mrs. Ruby Brown Kernodle, 100, of Greensboro passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 after a brief illness.
The funeral service and burial will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday January 27th at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church in Gibsonville, where she was a lifelong member. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial at the church.
Mrs. Kernodle was born on February 18, 1915 in Gibsonville to the late Sanders Brown and Nora Loman Brown. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Kernodle, her sisters, Evelyn Brown, and Grace Madren, half sisters, Minnie Wyrick, Mamie Andrews, and Dora Cook Parrish, her brother, Les Brown, and half brother, Willie Brown.
Ruby was known for her sweet smile, and her great cooking abilities.
She loved working in the garden, crocheting, and reading. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
