    GIBSONVILLE — Mrs. Annie Stanley Andrews, age 90, formerly of Ruralview Road, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Gale’s Manor after several months of failing health.

    Born in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late James and Dora Stanley and was married to the late John Richard Andrews, who died in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Baptist Church.

    Mrs. Andrews is survived by a daughter, Brenda Griffeth of Gibsonville; three sons, James Junior Andrews and his wife, Hallie, of Browns Summit, the Rev. Larry Richard Andrews and his wife Deborah, of Gibsonville and Billie Roger Andrews and his wife, Mary, of Browns Summit; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild; a sister, Bessie Stanley Mays of Burlington; a brother, Henry Stanley of Greensboro. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandchild; six sisters, Mary Goodman, Lula Cobb, Margaret Somers, Virginia Gibbs, Sarah Basham and Fannie Andrews; and a brother, McBryde Stanley.

    The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Greg Cassady and Pastor Eddie Souther. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Sunday evening at the funeral home and at other times at the home of her son, Billie Andrews, 7211 Turner North Road, Browns Summit.

    The family of Mrs. Andrews would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice staff and the staff of St. Gale’s Manor for their thoughtful and loving care that was given to their mother.
