Harry William Ausley
BURLINGTON — Mr. Harry William Ausley, 93, of Burlington, passed away at his residence, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Frances Simmons Ausley, who survives, and son of the late William Herbert Ausley and Della Euliss Ausley. Mr. Ausley retired from Burlington Industries Transportation Division as a mail courier and was formerly a self-employed salesman to local independent grocery stores. He attended Andrews Memorial Baptist Church, was a member of the John Birch Society and the NRA.
Surviving, other than his wife of the home, are daughters, Cathy Ausley Thompson (David) of Burlington, Deborah Ausley Baker (David) of Greenville, S.C. and Tamara Ausley Isley (Jimmy) of Cedar Grove; sons, Alan Ausley (Gloria) of Burlington and Patrick William Ausley (Mary) of Walnut Cove; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Iris Ausley Loy and Polly Ausley Williamson.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Dr. Tommy Willis and the Rev. Gerald Mann officiating. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 12:45 until 1:45 prior to the service.
