BURLINGTON — Nora Setzer Harvey, 90, of Burlington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Kannapolis to the late Julius Melton and Willie Maude Crisco Setzer and was married to the late Horace Arnold Harvey. She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Ronald Perry of Burlington; son and daughterin-law, Jim and Bonnie Alcon of Beaufort; grandchildren, Mark Alcon, Lisa Leonard, Karmel Barrett and Tammy Capps; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Jennifer, Brandon, Tyler, Katlin, Blake and Hunter; sisters, Cathleen Baker of Burlington and Jean Lattimer of Spartanburg, S.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Mildred Belangia and Mozelle Whitten; and brothers, William, Lonnie, Fred and Archie Setzer.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Hope Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Hobbs and the Rev. Benny Vickery with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the residence.
