Mr. Donald Lee Clapp
Liberty – Mr. Donald Lee Clapp, 84, of Liberty, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the AuthoraCare Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Guilford County, he was son of the late Vance Clapp and Willie Frances Gerringer Clapp. Mr. Clapp was a disabled US Navy Veteran serving ten years.
Surviving are a daughter, Jamie Lynn Clapp, in Indiana; two sons, Kenny Clapp of Tennessee and Scott Clapp of Liberty, NC; five grandchildren, Carriss Reath, Bridget Clapp, Bryon Friend, Tristan Friend and Brandon Clapp; as well as several great grandchildren; four sisters, Vangie Clapp, Bobbie Euliss, Fran Cook and Carolyn Wimbish; and a brother, Johnny Clapp.
Mr. Clapp was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Gerringer, Billy Clapp, Edward Clapp and Jackie Clapp; and a sister Linda Bridges.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service in Burlington on Friday, January 17, from 2-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Operation Finally Home, c/o Chase Bank, PO Box 732667, Dallas, TX 75373.
