Patty Hodge Watson
   DURHAM — Patty Hodge Watson, 83, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in Hospice at the Meadowlands.

   Mrs. Watson was born in Mebane, N.C., the daughter of the late William Hodge and Marion Kirkpatrick Hodge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Watson Jr.; her son, Mark Watson; and her sister, Carol Isley. She was a member of Yates Baptist Church. Mrs. Watson attended Mebane High School and graduated at 17 years old. She was too young to attend college so she went to Knotsville General Tennessee and graduated as a RN at Watts Hospital. Then she met her husband and had three sons, to which she became a loving wife and mother.

   Mrs. Watson is survived by her sons, Kelly Watson and wife, Karen, and Tony Watson and wife, Sue; her brother,William Hodge Jr. and wife, Deneece; her grandchildren, Patricia W. Wynne and husband, Will, Jennifer W. Anderson and husband, Brent, and Jimmy Watson; her greatgrandchildren, Savannah

   Wynne, Sheyenne Wynne, Jacob Anderson, and Braedon Anderson, and a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Carlton.

   A funeral service will be held Monday 2 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham.

   Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to Duke Hospice at the Meadowlands, 1001 Corporate Drive, Hillsborough, NC 27278 or Northern Free Will Baptist Church, 405 Orange Factory Road, Bahama, NC 27503.

   The family is being assisted in Durham by Clements Funeral Service Inc.
