Mable Walker Kelly Pruitt Wells
BURLINGTON — Mable Walker Kelly Pruitt Wells, age 90, formerly of 1106 Walnut St., passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Crescent Green Nursing Home in Carrboro.
A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late William Jasper Walker and Ella Cobb Walker. She was a former textile employee and a retired CNA at Memorial Hospital of Alamance.
Mable is survived by her son James Blayne Kelly of Richmond, Va.; seven granddaughters and one grandson; 4 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Wayne Kelly and husbands; James Garnet Kelly, James Monroe Pruitt and Thomas Wells; brothers, Clyde Walker, Luman Walker, Jesse Walker, Herman Walker and Lillard Walker and sisters, Lelia Massey and Ola Carter.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Pine Hill Cemetery by Ricky Massey. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to Gilliam’s Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund; c/o Bill Gilliam; 3905 N. Hwy. 87, Elon, NC 27244.
