Lucy Suzanne May “Suzy” Scott, 68, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Wallace Page May, Jr. and Doris Melba Waynick May. Suzy was married for 49 years to Earl Scott who survives.
Suzy was a supervisor at Duke Power for over 20 years. She was a lifetime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she also sang in the choir and was a former church treasurer. She loved going to the beach and the mountains and in her later years enjoyed creating her own personal paintings. Suzy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Earl; daughter, Sam Bolick and her husband, Cassen; grandchildren, Andie, Scott and Jack; siblings, Cindy Stephens and Melba Kiser and nieces and nephews, Matthew Stephens, Leslie Stephens, Aaron Stephens and his wife, Ashleigh, Michael Kiser and his wife, Dawn, and Page Kiser.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Westminster Presbyterian Church by Rev. Powell Sykes. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
