Barbara “Bobbie” Thompson Bryant

ELOn – Barbara “Bobbie” Thompson Bryant, 85, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Peak Resources.

She was born July 22, 1935 in Alamance County to the late William Lonnie and Ruth Barber Thompson and was married to Arnold Roosevelt Bryant for sixty-two years.

Barbara worked for Kayser-Roth and Monarch Hosiery in the offices. She was a very active member of Glen Raven Baptist Church, served as the Sunday School Secretary for over fifty years. She was known for her cooking skills especially her baked goods. She enjoyed reading but loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Arnold Roosevelt Bryant; son, Mark Dwayne (Wendy) Bryant; daughter Anita Dawn Bryant (William Barry) Stewart; grandchildren Alexandra “Ali” Bryant, Jacob Bryant; great grandchildren, Kevin Poole III and Kira Poole.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Desmond Thompson, Roger Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Marie Huffines and Jane Beckom.

The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Fann and Rev. Sean Fitzgerald you are invited to attend or watch the livestream on the funeral home website www.lowefuneralhome.com.

Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Bryant will be available for viewing 9:30 – 10:45 AM Saturday prior to the funeral.
