Obituary from the Greensboro Daily News of October 13, 1912:
"N.A. Williams Dead---Prominent Citizen of Burlington Dies in This City---N.A. Williams of Burlington died yesterday morning at 8:20 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. A.P. McDaniels, on North Edgeworth street. Mr. Williams was 70 years old, and was the last survivor of a family of ten children, he having been preceeded in death but three days by the last remaining brother, Peter Williams, of Adell, Georgia, who died Oct. 9.
Mr. Williams was a Confederate veteran and had lived in Alamance county practically his entire life. He was a member of Company G, 18th Regiment. He had been living in Burlington during recent years, but was on a visit with his daughter, Mrs. McDaniels, when his condition grew alarming and he began to sink a few days ago.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon from the Springwood church, the interment to follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Williams is survived by three children, L.N. Williams, and Mrs. C.J. Greeson of Burlington, and Mrs. McDaniels of this city."
