Myrtle Williams Huffman formerly of Midway Church Rd. in Elon passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the wife of the late Robert J. Huffman and was born March 4, 1913 in Alamance County to the late Dan L. and Jeanette Apple Williams.
Myrtle owned and operated her own beauty shop for over 50 years and was a member of the NC Hairdressers & Cosmetology Association since 1942.
She was a life time member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church where she was the chairman of the altar flowers since 1960, a member of the United Methodist Women, a member of the Davidson Bible Class and a Girl Scout Leader from 1942 – 1948.
Survivors include a brother Avery Williams and his wife Margaret of Elon, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Christine Bailey, Beatrice Johnson, Lenola Wyrick, brothers; D.L. Williams, Jr. and K.T. Williams. 470, Myrtle Williams Huffman
