Obituary Online notes for “Tootsie” Dolores HUFFMAN
Gibsonville – Dolores "Tootsie" Huffman Neese, 78, formerly of W. Main St. passed away Monday, April 21, 2008 at Liberty Commons Nursing Center. She was born October 9, 1929 to the late James Edgar and Kathrine Turner Huffman in Guilford County.
Dolores retired from Sears and Smith-Broadhurst and later worked in the ABC store in Gibsonville. She was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Allen and her husband Jimmie; sons and daughter-in-law, Lewis Neese, Tony Neese and his wife Hope, all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Geoff Hardy and Jennifer Gauze; great grandchildren, Reece Hardy, Aspen, Collin and Wyatt Gauze; brother and sister-in-law; Don Huffman and his wife, Nancy of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Shirley H. Walker; brother, Richard Huffman.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gibsonville City Cemetery by Dr. David Greene. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the service and other times at the home of Melanie Allen, 102 S. Wyrick Street, Gibsonville, NC 27249.
