Pauline Hawks Ingle
BURLINGTON – Pauline Hawks Ingle, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Liberty Commons.
She was born in Carroll County, VA on March 3, 1932 to the late Harden Alexander and Theo Stanliff Hawks and was the wife of 44 years to the late Carson Theodore Ingle.
Pauline was a member of Brick Church. She enjoyed bluegrass music, piano, and square dancing and was known for her hugs and kisses through the love she showed to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her daughter, Michele Ingle Tyndall (Michael); sons, Tommy Ingle (Darline), Randy Ingle (Cheryl); grandchildren, Deric Tyndall, Chelsie Tyndall Billings (Matt), “T.J.” Tommy Ingle, Jr. (Tonya), Jackie Shoffner (Bryan), Melissa Ingle, Crystal Ingle Carter (Colby), Ethan Ingle; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Jacob, Jillian, Tanner, Jordan, Blake, Kaley, Armani, Lena, Chandler, Nathan and Kaylee; brother, Aldeen Hawks and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her special friend and roommate at Liberty Commons, Sheila Trexler.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sister, Aileen Snow and brother, Wade Hawks.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Geoff LaLone and Rev. Kristin Gerner Vaughn with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at her daughter, Michele’s home.
A special thanks to the nurses at Hospice, Liberty Commons and her caregiver for many years, Carolyn York for all of their loving care and support during her illness.
