Daniel Worth Pennington
Mr. Daniel Worth Pennington, 71, died at Oklahoma University Medical Center, Oklahoma City, on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012.

Danny was a native of Burlington but lived in Oklahoma City for the past 20 years. He was the son of Smithy and Carlos Pennington, both deceased. He grew up as a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church and attended the Elon school system. He retired from the construction industry and Swift Trucking Company.

He is survived by two daughters, a son, and his brother, Bryan Pennington of Burlington.

His final wish was to have his body donated to the College of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma, with the knowledge of benefiting others through his passing.

Special heartfelt thanks and appreciation go to all the wonderful doctors and nurses who took such excellent care of Danny over the last few years. The same feelings go out to his best most caring friend, Becky Lowe.

Final arrangements are incomplete but memorials can be made to The Children’s Home Society of NC, P.O. Box 14608, Greensboro, NC 27415, and Allied Churches of Alamance County (the Homeless Shelter), 206 N. Fisher St., Burlington, NC 27217.

“Go out into the world in peace and remember, keep the faith, live in hope, and love one another.”
