Obituary Online notes for Jimmy Wayne HUGHES
BURLINGTON - Mr. Jimmy Wayne Hughes, 75, of 368 Hwy 87 N., went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Feb, 6, 2010, at his residence.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Delrees Sawyer Hughes, who survives, of the home, and son of the late James Henry and Leo Morene Hughes.

He was retired from Western Electric/Lucent Technologies and a member of the First Baptist Church of Elon, where he had served as a Deacon.

Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Hughes and Deanna of Elon and Kramer Hughes of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Michelle Lassiter and Mike, Anna Helton, and Alex Hughes and Samantha; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Caila, Camden and Haley; his mother-in-law, Ida Mae Sawyer; and two brothers, Larry Hughes and Dot of Gibsonville and Robert David Hughes of Macon, Ga.

He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Hughes.

Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
