Nellie Mae Rudd Moss


    GRAHAM, N.C. — Nellie Mae Rudd Moss, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late John Theodore Moss.
    Nellie was a homemaker and member of New Covenant Fellowship Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and great-greatgrandmother.
    She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Baldwin and husband Kenneth, Annie Hayes and husband Bobby, and Jean Harrison, all of Graham; son, John E. Moss and wife Joan, of Graham; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-stepgrandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Rimmer of Burlington and Evelyn Simons and husband Frank, of Burlington; brothers, Lee Rudd of Altamahaw, George Rudd and wife Polly of Elon, Walter Rudd and wife Marie of Elon.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John Theodore Moss; and her parents, George David Rudd and Minerva Smith Rudd; brothers, Leonard, Lacy and Jimmy Rudd.
    A service to celebrate her life will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. David Neff and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
    The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Alamance Regional Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care of Mrs. Moss.
