Frank Edward Simons, 93, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at UNC Hospital. He was born on November 25, 1928 in Buffalo, NY to the late Levi Paquette and Ruth Simons Crouch and was married to Evelyn Rudd Simons of 73 years who survives.
Frank retired after 34 years with Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent, he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of First United Methodist Church of Graham.
He was a US veteran serving two years in the US Navy, two years in the US Army and served a tour of duty in the US Air Force Reserve during the Korean War.
Survivors other than his wife Evelyn Simons include his children, Jerome Simons and wife Jamie, James Simons and wife Simone, Bonnie Rigsbee and husband Jerry, Robin Bauer and husband Don; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; a sister, Thelma Schroeder; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Sarah Lynn Simons McCoy; siblings, Paul Crouch, Harold Crouch; Carol Wilkins and Nancy Herrington.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, July 29, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Kroeze and Rev. Clair Clyburn with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45am Friday prior to the service and other times at the home.
