Peggie Gerringer Robertson, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Arthur Winford "Pig" Robertson, Sr.
Peggie was a member of St. Mark's Reformed Church and a member of the Circle Four Sunday School Class. She was a member of the TOPS and the Burlington Moose Lodge. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister.
Survivors include her son, Arthur W. Robertson, Jr. of Burlington and a daughter, Beth Money and her husband, James of Reidsville; sisters, Doris Shue of Burlington and Cleone Tickle of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. "Pig" Robertson, Sr.; her son, Mark Lee Robertson; parents, Robert Lee Gerringer and Sara Annie Jones Gerringer; brothers, Basil, Dwight Elmo and Robert Lee Gerringer and a sister, Gene Garrison.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Reformed Church by Rev. Ben Bishop and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
