VIRGINIA BEACH - Our beloved mother, Marian Summers Stellato, 81, passed away peacefully March 23, 2011.
Mrs. Stellato was born in Salisbury, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Lacy and Margaret Summers. She was the wife of the late John A. Stellato Sr. and was retired from the Verizon Telephone Company after a long career.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her three children, Deborah Stellato Bean, Brenda Stellato DeVito and her husband Frederick and John A. Stellato Jr. and his wife Victoria, all of Chesapeake; seven grandchildren, Lindsay S. Bean of New York City, Alden M. Bean, Morgan A. DeVito, Frederick L. DeVito Jr., Christopher J. Stellato, Michael A. Stellato and Alyson R. Stellato, all of Chesapeake; and her brother, James Summers and his family of Pompano, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, March 28, in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.hdoliver.com.
