James Roy Garrison
GRAHAM — James Roy Garrison, 89, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at White Oak Manor after several years of declining health. He was born in Alamance County to the late John and Esther Kernodle Garrison and was married to the late Marcine Kinkead Garrison. James was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post #1920. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran who proudly served his country as a fighter pilot in World War II.
He is survived by his son, James R. (Kathe) Garrison Jr. of Raleigh, daughters, Martha (Roger) Fogleman of Haw River, Angela Simms of Mebane and Jane Malone of Wilmington; granddaughter, Stacy Fogleman of Burlington; greatgrandchildren, Samantha and Hunter; and a brother, John Ernest Garrison of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; grandson, Jason Russell Malone; brothers, Joe and Clarence; and sisters, Betty, Maude, Ida, Una and Lola.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6
to 8 Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
