Florence Allison Brown
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Florence Allison Brown, 92, of 1880 Brookwood Ave., died at the Hospice Home on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 5:05 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Norman Edward Brown and the daughter of Charles Lee Allison and Bertha Mae Small Wagoner, both deceased. She was a member of Trinity Worship Center and Circle #1, and also a member of New Covenant Church in Fort Mill, S.C.
She is survived by her brother, Charles “Chuck” Lindsey Allison, of Las Vegas, and preceded in death by her sisters, Elsie Ward, Maxine Wilson, Nellie Snotherly, Tessie Mansfield and Thelma Reinhardt; and her brothers, J. Frank Allison, Melvin Lee Allison, Shannon V. Allison and Tate H. Allison.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Carlysle Lewis and the Rev. Darrell Cox with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 1:40 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The entombment will follow the service in the Mausoleum at Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Trinity Worship Center, 3157 S. Church St., Burlington, NC 27215 or to New Covenant Church, 4329 Cole Creek Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29707.
