SNOW CAMP - Lanny Gray Morris, 68 of Snow Camp passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday February 7, 2021 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 12th at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend David Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church H2O Youth Ministry, PO Box 921, Graham, NC 27253 or to A Hearts Cry Pregnancy Resource Center in Graham, PO Box 903 Graham, NC 27253.

Lanny Gray Morris, 68 of Snow Camp passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Sunday February 7, 2021 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home.
Lanny was born in Person County on June 25, 1952 the son of the late Joe Samuel Morris and Betty Pulliam Morris Jones. Lanny was employed in retail for many years and then as a machinist with Honda in Swepsonville. He was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church. Lanny was active in youth ministry in the early years. He loved to sing in the choir, run sound and teach Sunday School. He played and umpired church and city softball leagues, loved motorcycles, gardening and was a true UNC Tarheel fan. But his biggest love was his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a Stepbrother Donnie Jones.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Sherry Boswell Morris; two children, Kimberley "Kim" Janey Williams and husband Mike and William “Samuel” Morris and wife Tanya; four grandchildren, Micah Janey, Hannah Janey, Gracie Morris and Sawyer Morris; a sister Betty Jo Garrett and husband Keith and a half sister Penny Kaffenberger and husband Kevin.
