Mr. James Roy Rich, 76, of Burlington died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at 11:28 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Alice Faye Piper Rich, who survives and the son of John Roy Rich and Beatrice Overman Rich, both deceased. Mr. Rich retired from Burlington Industries in the Transportation Division as a cost accountant. He was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Pam Harris (Jimmy Cable) of Gibsonville; son, Jeff Rich (Joanne Rich) of Graham; brother, Thomas Gary Rich (Nancy Rich) of Burlington; and grandson, Corey Harris of Gibsonville.
Mr. Rich was preceded in death by a step-sister, June Danieley Miller; step-mother, Elizabeth Danieley Rich; and step-mother, Merita Page Rich.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence.
The funeral service will be conducted at Bellemont United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Farron Duncan. Burial will follow in the church
