Obituary Online notes for Edna MAY
Mrs. Edna May Shoe, 91, went home to be with her family and friends that preceded her in death Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A Guilford County native, Edna was born August 25, 1918, the daughter of Dolph Clark May and Geneva Shoe May.
In addition to her parents Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Pete Shoe; granddaughter, Pamela Nicole Roberts, grandson, Bradley Dodson; great grandson, Ronnie Kyle Fulk; five brothers and two sisters.
She is suvived by five children, Jerry Shoe of Greensboro, Judy Gray of Greensboro, Sharolyn Shoe of Greensboro, Glenda Roberts and husband Johnny of Browns Summit and Deborah Starr and husband Percy of McLeansville, her sister Ethel May Shoe of McLeansville: one brother Dillard May of Julian, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Edna was a extraordinary woman who lived an ordinary life. She gave of herself freely to those in need and her love was unconditional. She will be sorly missed by all who knew her and most of all her family.
