BURLINGTON - John Webster May, 78, of Burlington, passed away at Alamance Healthcare Center, on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:48 p.m.
Mr. May was a native of Guilford County and was the husband of the late Glenda S. May and the son of Osborne Harrison May and Margaret Reitzel May, both deceased. He was retired from The Salvation Army.
He is survived by his three sons, Joseph Webster May and his wife Jayne of Kingsport, TN, David Russell May and his wife Dolores of Palm Bay, FL and Daniel Glenn May, of Burlington; three sisters, Emily M. Rumley, Antha M. Thomas and Mary E. Flynn; and two brothers, Robert T. May and Lloyd V. May.
A funeral service will be held at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, with Major Terry Edwards officiating.
Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
