Marie Truitt Allred, 102, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, at White Oak Manor.
A native of Alamance County was the daughter of the late Robert Evertte Truitt and Martha Thelma Boggs Truitt and was married for over 47 years to Earl Hairm Allred Sr., who passed in 1992.
Marie devoted herself to a fulfilling career in marketing at AT&T. Yet, her most treasured moments were spent at home with her beloved family. Marie was an avid reader who found joy in the written word, complemented by her love for tending her yard and her exceptional cooking skills, which brought warmth and comfort to every family gathering.
Marie is survived by her loving son, Earl Allred, Jr. and his wife Pamela; her daughter, Judy Branin and her husband Mark; and her grandchildren who adored her: Philip Branin, Dennis Branin, and Amy Allred-Scott, great-grandchildren; Thomas "Jake" Branin, Katherine "Katie" Branin, Charlotte Branin, Victoria Branin, Madison Scott, Miranda Scott, and Melody Watkins and her great-great- grandson Samson Simpson Dodge.
Marie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Hairm Allred, Sr., as well as her parents, Robert Everett Truitt and Martha Thelma Boggs Truitt, four brothers and her cherished aunt, Mary Elizabeth Boggs.
A graveside service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Concord Christian Church Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable life of a woman who touched so many.
