 BURLINGTON — Mr. Kenneth James Ingold, 67, of Durham, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
 
 Ken was a 1966 graduate of Southern Alamance High School, followed by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned masters and Ph.D. degrees from UNCChapel Hill and was retired from GlaxoSmithKline. Mr. Ingold was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
 
 He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clyde and Edna Welker Ingold; and a sister, Debra Lynn Ingold.
 
 Surviving are brothers, Larry Ingold and wife Carolyn of Snow Camp and Donald Ingold and wife Cheryl of Burlington; and a special friend, Lyn Siegel of Durham.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Nathan Hooks with the family receiving friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church cemetery.
 
 Memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to the American Cancer Society, 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407.
