MCLEANSVILLE — Mr. Homer May, 80, departed this life to enter a new life with his Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, November 30, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 3, at Hanes Lineberry, North Elm Chapel, with the Reverend Jim Farmer officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Mr. May was owner and operator of May Roofing Co. since 1966.

He was a dedicated deacon and choir director of Towe Memorial Baptist Church for 19 years. He loved the Lord and his heart's desire was to be a testimony and a witness.

Homer was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucy May and brothers, Charlie, Roy and John May.

He leaves behind his loving, devoted wife of 39 years, Jean D. May; daughters, Patricia Fields and husband, Benny of Greensboro, N.C., and Terrie Auman and husband, Tim of Archdale, N.C.; and son, Tim May and wife, Alesia of Whitsett, N.C. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and we look forward to our heavenly reunion when Christ returns.

A visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.
