In Ruth’s earlier years, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she worked with TWA Airlines and met her late husband, Lester H. Radcliffe who went to be with his Lord on December 25, 1966.
Following the passing of Lester, Ruth moved back home to Greensboro where she met Isaac Fred “Coach” Brady Jr. on a blind date. They were married in November of 1972, joining their two families together forever. They were married for 38 years until “Coach” preceded her in death on November 5, 2010.

Ruth retired from Duke University as an Undergraduate Administrator and prior to Duke, worked many years in the Insurance industry. Fred and Ruth were members of Mebane United Methodist Church and she held many different roles and responsibilities, one of which was helping the organization of the daycare center. Ruth was an avid supporter of Eastern Alamance High School Athletics as she always enjoyed pulling for Eastern with Coach Brady. She loved her family and friends and supported her children and grandchildren every step of the way. She never missed a game or event that she could possibly attend.
In addition to her parents and her late husbands, Ruth was preceded in death by her sisters, Sue Tillman, Betty Waters; brothers, Guy May Jr., David May, John May, and Billy May; and daughter-in law, Tina Brady.
