BURLINGTON — Betty Hopkins Williamson, age 85, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Liberty Commons.
She was born Dec. 29, 1927 in Caswell County to the late Arthur Kent and Bessie Turner Williamson. Betty had retired fromWestern Electric after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the neighborhood.
She is survived by two nephews, Bill Walker and his wife Patsy, Ken Walker and his wife Angie, all of Elon, several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Mary Walker and Sara Paschal.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Camp Springs United Methodist Church by Mr. Eric G. Rudd.
Miss Williamson will be available for viewing after noon on Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
