ISLEY, FRANK L. ISLEY Airman Basic Frank L. son of Mr. and Mrs.. Frank B. ISLEY of Route 1, Burlington, has been selected for technical training as an air policeman at Lackland Air Force Base, Tex. Air- man ISLEY, who enlisted in the Air Force a short time ago, has just completed his basic military training here. The airman is a 1961 graduate of Southern Alamance High School

Mr. Frank Lloyd "Wimp" Isley
HILLSBOROUGH - Mr. Frank Lloyd "Wimp" Isley, 66, of 4409 Harmony Church Road, died Monday, December 29, 2008. He was born in Alamance County, and graduated from Southern Alamance High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Isley was a general contractor, an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to spend time at the beach.
Surviving are his wife, Debra D. Isley; his daughter, Joy Isley Hinshaw (Ken), Burlington; three sons, Eric Isley (Tracie), Efland, Scott Isley (Jenny), Efland, and Frank Isley Jr., Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two sisters, Donnie I. Thompson (Max), Efland and Pearl I. Stovall (Lewis), Burlington; two brothers: Bud Isley (Pat), Snow Camp and J.B. Isley, Burlington; in-laws, Lillie and Bob Mangum, Hillsborough; and Mary Durham, Bluff City, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Nikki Simpson, Brent Hinshaw, Frank Lloyd Isley III, Whitney Isley, Devlin Isley and Tyler Isley.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Rich Webster. Burial will be in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
