Obituary Online notes for Aurelia Jane MAY
Aurelia Jane May, 81, formerly of 510 Cummings Street, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Liberty Commons of Alamance. Miss May was born October 15, 1926 in Guilford County to the late Melvin Eugene May and Queen Hammer May. Miss May was a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, a homemaker and a loving aunt.
Survivors include a niece and her husband, Crystal and Rex Langley of Burlington; a nephew, Mark May of Burlington; a great nephew, Craig Hall of Gibsonville; a great great niece, Kalea Dodson of Mississippi; and a good friend and caregiver, Margie Hopkins of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, James Lloyd "Rabbit" May.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brian Ayers. Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 - 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Liberty Commons and Hospice for the loving care they gave Miss May during her illness.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, Building Fund, 221 Piedmont Ave. Gibsonville, NC 27249.
