Mrs. Barbara Ann May Hursey, 68, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at her residence.
She was born September 22, 1938 in Alamance county to the late Paul B. and Mary Allen May. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was an active member of Brightwood Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Larry Hursey of the home; a son, Kent Hursey and his wife Colleen of Mebane; a daughter, Lorri Hursey of Burlington; three grandchildren, Trey Hursey and his wife Cheri of Gibsonville, Brooke Belangia of Burlington, and Junior Williams of Burlington; a great grandson, Carsyn Hursey of Gibsonville; four brothers, Maurice May and his wife Jean of Burlington, Doug May and his wife Eydie of Graham, Pete May and his wife Hilda of Asheboro, and Wesley May and his wife Vanessa of Roxboro; and a sister, Marian May Toney of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a brother-in-law.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bruce Church.
