Obituary Online notes for “Ann” Anthony Virginia SCRUGGS
PLEASANT GARDEN, NC - Mrs. Ann Scruggs May, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Clapp's Nursing Center.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 25 at Coble's Lutheran Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Rev. Dr. David N. Mielke officiating.

Mrs. May was born on September 14, 1916 in Person County.

Ann was a member of Coble's Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over forty years.

She was a beauty shop owner and operator for fifty years.

Mrs. May was preceded in death by her husband, John Harrison May; parents, Andrew and Dotsie Garrett Scruggs; son, Steven Michael May; sisters, Frances Capps and Thelma Dick.

Survivors include son, John Douglas May of Greensboro; granddaughter (daughter of Steven May), and one great-granddaughter.
