Obituary Online notes for Lee Allen MAY Sr.
On June 13, 1996, at 11:45 a.m., Lee Allen May, Sr. of Land Road, departed this life in the presence of our Lord. He had been battling leukemia since February this year.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Coble's Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
A devoted husband, loving father and faithful servant of the Lord as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of Woodard Memorial Baptist Church and the Guilford Bowhunters Club.
He was employed by Sears for 21 years, Shionogi Qualicaps for one half year, and by the Guilford County School Systems for four months as an electrician at all locations.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marti Armstrong May of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Lee Allen May, Jr. and Tammy Hedrick May of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Trisha May Rancer and Phillip Rancer of Greensboro; mother, Mrs. Margaret Dunlap of Gastonia; three sisters, Mrs. Peggie Howland of Greensboro, Mrs. Kathy Jones of McLeansville, and Mrs. Brenda Russell of Gastonia.
You are at peace no and with the Lord, our hearts are saddened, but we know we will all be together again. You will always be alive in our hearts and memories. 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passedaway; behold, all things are become new.' II Corinthians 5:17.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Friday evening.
